Integrated Pipeline Data Management System

About iPDMS

There are many applications on the market today that address some aspect of the data collection and information management involved in successfully prosecuting a pipeline project. For the most part they are loosely connected applications for the purpose of managing the vast amount of data (Spatial, Construction, Environmental, ROW, CAD, etc...) that is generated during these types of projects. Our product centralizes all the data, exposes it to internal departments and external organizations/agencies with appropriate role/object access, provides group and object level security, integrates review/release fuctionality, and a GIS web portal for access to near real-time project data critical to decision makers.

Technical features incorporated into the Integrated Pipeline Data Management System:

• Comprised of three systems, one being a Spatial data collection component
• Both systems (Central and Remote) look identical facilitating similarity and minimal confusion between the field and the office
• Provides Near-Real Time Project Status viewing through GIS Web Portal
• Centralized Data Warehouse for all Project related data (including photographs, and PDF documents)
• One Point Collection of data by interfacing with ESRI ArcPad on Field Crew Toughbooks or Trimble units and dynamic import of spatial data directly into Remote repository
• Web application interface provides simplified deployment and maintenance of the system
• Asynchronous data exchange for receiving and pushing project information to the field crew systems
• Dashboard functionality for both the Central and Remote systems that is specific to the users business process
• ArcGIS Mobile, Apps for iOS (iPhone & iPad) and ArcPad forms for specific data collection that interfaces with the remote system database for user controls, eliminating the possibility of data corruption by user error
• Library systems for CADD and GIS Diagrams and Maps for Check-in, Check-out, Review, Approve and Reject
• Open Architecture development for ease of adding additional components, modifying existing system components for specific business model, and simplified maintenance and support

Reporting

Contains the various reports available within the system along with filtering.

Right-of-Way

Contains parcel information for owner and access used field crews.

Environmental

Assessment for Archaeological, Threatened & Endangered and Wetlands a library system for survey information and diagrams.

Surveyor

Library system for drawing, maps and layer check-in and out and review and approval.

CADD/GIS

To centralize into a single data repository, the collection and management of all project information that is corroboratively acted upon inter-departmentally and by external organizations contracted for a given project.

System Maintenance

An application management tool for the maintenance of system controls.
